Young brothers create Fly Guy Brand an edgy, creative new clothing line

Bullz Eye Ent is proud to represent Fly Guy Brand clothing, an innovative clothing line created by Austin, 16, and Preston, 11, Anguilm -- brothers from Centennial, Colorado who are ready to take on the world of fashion.

They started the clothing line to supplement their weekly allowances and three years later, Fly Guy Brand is on the way to becoming a household name.

E-Readers for Hernando County Public Library System


The Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties, Inc. is pleased to announce the provision of 24 e-readers to the Hernando County Public Library System. The 24 e-readers are Kindle Fire HDX and also came with cases. Each Kindle is loaded with 50 e-books containing children's favorite stories and were delivered to the Spring Hill Branch on June 16, 2014.

Brooksville will hold an emergency meeting to address citizen efforts to ban red light cams.


BROOKSVILLE, Florida - A grass-roots effort to ban red light cameras in is meeting resistance from elected officials.

Brooksville's city council held an emergency meeting on Tuesday night to address the citizen campaign that successfully petitioned to get a camera ban on this fall's ballot.

Firefighter's memorial defaced, again


A firefighters makeshift memorial defaced - a family in tears. Making a plea with the public so they can know more and prevent it from happening again. The makeshift memorial is on Elgin Boulevard - a residential street with only private communities nearby in Spring Hill. The family says they are horrified and that this isn't the first time this has happened. About 20 makeshift memorials have been put up over the past three years - now the family asks who and why.

$3M to go towards Nature Coast center in Hernando


Brooksville, Florida -- Hernando County has been awarded $3 million for a new Nature Coast education and tourism center. County officials announced Monday the governor approved the money which the county says will match dollar for dollar.

Possible sinkhole shuts down Spring Hill road


Spring Hill, FL - Tiburon Ave. between Northcliffe Blvd. and Timbercrest Rd. is closed until further notice due to sinking.

Hernando County says they are not sure if it is a sinkhole, but it is in a residential neighborhood. Right now no homes are threatened and there are no evacuations in place.

They do not know the width and or the depth of the "sinking."

UPDATE: Missing Spring Hill woman found


Spring Hill, Florida -- UPDATE: Hernando County detectives say Meredith Byron has been located and returned to her family. No further details were released on her disappearance of where she was found.

Previous Story: Hernando County detectives are asking for the community's help locating missing, endangered Spring Hill woman.

Deputies say 34-year-old Meredith R. Byron was last seen on May 24 by a family member at her home on El Prado Avenue. She does not have a vehicle.

UPDATE: Missing Brooksville woman found


Brooksville, Florida -- UPDATE: The Hernando County Sheriff's Office says Rachel Schultz who went missing on May 24 has been located and was returned to her family. No further details were released on where she was found or her disappearance.

Man sought in death of Hernando teacher caught


Brooksville, Florida -- UPDATE: The Hernando County Sheriff's Office says the man sought in the death of Lee Anne Shoeman was located in Hillsborough County and is in police custody. However, he has been taken to an area hospital to be treated for a self-inflicted gunshot wounds. His condition is not known at this time.

Deputies have charged Jerome Sheridan in the murder of a high school teacher in Brooksville. Lee Anne Shoeman was an English teacher at Central High school. She was found dead in her home Monday.

1 dead after SWAT situation in Hernando county


Brooksville, FL - Officials say a standoff with Hernando SWAT has ended with the suspect's death.

The Sheriff's Office says the Hernando County SWAT team was called out to a home on Benes Roush Road on Monday morning, after a suicidal man had barricaded himself inside.

Deputies say the suspect, approximately 56 years old, was armed and had threatened to kill himself. While officers were on scene, the man fired shots in their direction, but no injuries were reported.
